Impulso - s/t - 7

Ragged, rabid and damaged: that’s how I’d sum up Impulso. Things careen wildly about, rangily muscular and built around retched-up vocals and fractious guitar parts that scuttle like bugs on greasy kitchen linoleum. Though there are only four short tracks to get through it can feel like a gruelling mental battle if your head’s not in the right place, thus putting it in the same sort of psychic and sonic space as the antisocial, headache-inducing stuff peddled by Toxic State, LVEUM and Discos Enfermos … either a compliment or a warning, depending on the direction your own tastes take you.
