Hefty, crashing, blown-out stuff from Japan with the vocals up way loud and the drums down way low. When it comes together everything sounds huge and crumbly at the edges, with the relentless D-beat attack carried over the edge by virtue of sheer force and determination rather than anything as polite as songcraft. At this point you’d be hard pushed to say you’ve got the next Framtid or Kriegshög on your hands, but this is still a solid start and proof enough that Barrows are definitely worth keeping an eye on.
