Summer Of Death - Bolt Nine Chambers - 7

Labels: Hardcore Survives
Review by: Alex Deller

This is some pretty mean stuff: crusty, feral, metallic hardcore that reminds me of NYHC going thrash by way of Concrete Sox and S.O.B. circa ‘Gate Of Doom’ and ‘Vicious World’. The riffs pour hungrily forth with a mix of gut-level chug and neck-twisting precision while the vocals splutter, snarl and gargle in the best possible way, the whole thing hitting home with savage intent and a weird underlying sense of fun. An album, please!
