“…but I’m gonna rock it!”
So says the guy at the start of this album and that’s what D4 do, have done and probably will always do. If you don’t know who D4 are then you need to get yourself acquainted with this Minneapolis band…and fast. They are one of the most important bands around and this CD consisting of compilation and 7″ tracks is just as essential listening as their album on Hopeless.
You see, D4 are the undisputed kings when it comes to combining hard edged punk-rock with catchy pop melodies and intelligent lyrics. The 14 gems on this CD are just bristling with catchy little bass rumblings and they pack a chorus that will quite easily lodge itself in your head for days on end. But delve deeper into the excellent inlay and discover that pop-punk and brains is indeed a possible combination. And lyrics that you can relate to at that.
Arghh – its happened again. Another lame review that just doesn’t come close to describing the best fucking band in the whole wide world. Just get it ok, I GUARANTEE that you will love this band. I’ve yet to hear of someone who doesn’t.
