Discript - æÅ

This lot released a split 7″ with fast bastards Y back in the early 90s, but beyond a couple of comp appearances things have been rather quiet since then. What caused them to resurface now is anyone’s guess, but on the strength of æŔªçŸ¥ we should all be hoping it’s not a temporary measure, serving up as it does some enjoyably hefty, metal-tinged crust. The guitars have that chunky, ‘boxy’ sound that I associate with bands like Age and Life, and if the style itself is not exactly novel the band at least have enough songwriting tricks up their sleeve to keep you alert, engaged and champing at the bit for more of their murky, Sacrilege-style savagery. ÂÂ
