Anakrid is the prolific and long-running noise project of one Chris Bickel, erstwhile vocalist of the amazing Guyana Punch Line. Don’t expect pointed satirism and spastic thrash hardcore here though, as Anakrid is a surprisingly chilled out proposition, with the welcome utilisation of dubby beats creating more a song structure beneath the thoroughly atonal noisery. For 25 minutes, the music ebbs and flows in a diverting manner, and is highly recommended. This is yet another fine looking release on Black Horizons, with tye-died acetates unique to each release.
