Now I’m as big a Prankophile as the next chap but this one’s fairly fucking wretched in my book. ‘Prosthetic Screams’ = melodic anarcho punk that’s been dragged through the glossy rock ringer and had any rough edges buffed beyond recognition. Sure, the riffs are crunchy and driving and the singer has a fair old howl on her, but just about every moment makes my skin crawl and I can’t be dealing with it. Other folks have mentioned the Wipers and the Avengers in the same breath as this lot, but nah: they’re wrong and this just sucks.
