This one’s definitely a step up for a band whose shonky demo didn’t leave me with much hope for the future, the alleged Void/Rorschach influences now but a distant memory and the overall mussiness replaced with a clean, biting production job. Vox are pitched somewhere between Zeke and Negative Approach while the tracklisting reads like offcuts from a Cold Sweat brainstorming sesh and the music itself reminds me somehow of Hellnation given the rigid adherence to tempo and charging ahead no matter what gets in the way. Overall it’s a tad too workmanly to be considered essential, but it’s definitely a solid release and you can’t help but think they’d be a right hoot live.
