Mark Leonard makes me think of Against Me! combined with Bright Eyes. Simple but passionate acoustic guitar strumming behind rough sounding vocals. His heart’s in it but I personally can’t handle a whole album of it. There are some neat riffs at points, ‘Philly Song’ is an example, but overall there’s just not enough to it and Mark’s voice really grates on me after a while.
P.S. I think the release was meant to come with a zine but alas it did not make it to me.
