There are three tracks here and things clock in at over an hour, so you know what that means? Yep, doom with a big, honking capital DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. It goes without saying that things are big, slow and ugly, with Eremit clearly of the mindset that once you’ve had a good idea you remorselessly grind it into the ground until it dare breathe no more. The relentless adherence to repetitious groove makes me think of Svart Records acts like Heavydeath and Morbid Evils, albeit slightly less hymnal and with the rough edges buffed to a smooth, Sleep-y sheen. Nice!
