Some big, whooshing post-hardcore/screamo here. There’s a lot of Envy and City Of Caterpillar on the go, and every once in a while what sounds like a straight crib from Shotmaker or something. Just in case I’m making this sound too retrograde, know also that there are some great big crunchy bits and enough spacious, ambient, post-black-metal wobbles to puts this slap-bang in the here and now. It’s deeply layered and pretty darn good, so if you like any of the stuff I’ve just mentioned or fancy the idea of pre-‘Grievances’ Kowloon Walled City getting their ambient on once in a while then, well, have at it.
