Corrupted are an awesome motherfucking band, and here’s yet another split to prove that. They’re in relatively happy-go-lucky mood this time round, managing to fit a song (‘Empty’) onto a mere 33 rpm 7″. Corrupted have a knack for brilliantly simple, catchy riffs that just drip with menace. Halfway through the rhythm shifts and it become the heaviest thing I have ever heard. The singer sounds like a psychotic grizzly bear. Same old brilliant Corrupted then.
On the flip, Italy’s Cripple Bastards thrash really well through a bunch of ditties, but to be frank, I won’t be listening to that side very much.
