Review by: Russell Opie
This is pretty much essential if you don’t own one of those things that plays that nasty vinyl stuff. This CD comprises all of Travis Cut’s previous singles and there are 21 tracks in total on here. And almost 55 minutes of serious tuneage.
As you may or may not know, The Cut are one of my absolute favourite pop-punk bands. And their latest full length album (Seventh Inning Stretch) was 95% faultless. And in fact four songs on this singles compilation have been culled from that very album.
The advantage of this is that if you have the album, its still worth getting this because with 21 tracks you’re still getting value for money despite duplicating four songs. And if you’re new to the band, then you are having the chance to sample them at their very best – as well as getting all the rare songs on one easy to find release.
So what you’ve got here then is a belter of an album. Catchy as heck poppy punk rock from one of Britains shining lights. This comp sure does pack some punch. Most notable non-album tracks is the simply stunning newbie “Exiled” and the awesome live favourite “In a Rut”. You need to pick this album up for these two tracks alone!! Get to it….
