Review by: Damien Mills
How about that? Some title eh? (assuming Andy fits it all on…), pretty much does half of the review for me though, as a lot of what is on here truly is completly pointless. I think this cd is basically a vehicle in which to finally get the band’s original Damien Moyal fronted demo out into the public. It needed to be done as it’s easily some of their best stuff, but the rest? I’m not sure what to make of it, mostly live stuff with a few rhythm guitar-only versions of early songs on the end, WHY?
Don’t get me wrong, I love Shai Hulud and they are still the benchmark for all the post Deathwish Inc misanthropes out there, but there are easily better tracks they could of put on this, there is also no Gert-era material for some reason.
First six songs = amazing, from then on this is hard work, but if you are a big fan then maybe you’ll get something from it, I feel like I’m missing something somehow though.
