Safe to say, another solid release for Kidcrash. A bit mathy, a bit screamy; you get the gist. Just one song from them though, clocking in at about four and a half minutes. L’Antietam have got two songs on this split. Imagine their last release, Arthur Carr, but condensed down into two of the most energetic punk songs you’re likely to hear any time soon. The first track, Gnarthur Gnarr (probably some in-joke concerning the last album) doesn’t really go anywhere for me; it just seems a bit too long for that style of music – a bit repetitive you might say. It’s not all bad though, just not on a par with their other work. The second track however, is a blinder. It kinda takes the pace of the first track and mixes it up a bit; a nice instrumental bit at the end with chanting over the top. Cool. Packaging-wise there’s a nice little thingy going on with Polaroids. Swish. Worth your dollar, even if the one L’Antietam song is a bit gash.
