In case the name didn’t give it away, Tormented Imp seem to like Poison Idea quite a bit. Burly, belligerent and glowering, there’s a definite ‘Feel The Darkness’ vibe throughout, with each of the four tracks delivering catchy, gut-punch riffs and menacing, don’t-fuck-with-me vocals. Amid all the crunches are some flashy little melodic twists and momentary bursts of guitar heroism in the vein of Bl’ast! or Annihilation Time: brief explosions of light that mainly serve to illuminate just how quickly the walls are closing in. It’s a cracking little EP, and another ripper from Donor Records – go get on it!
