Hooray! Scottish indie – my weakness! I’ve only heard the one Dirty Projectors album – that cover record of Damaged by Black Flag – so I don’t know if that is what they always sound like but this reminds me of them, plus the odd ball bits of Pavement. All with a lovely low voiced Scottish man. I guess there is a touch of Leonard Cohen in there as well, but really, Dirty Projectors.
Look, it’s just really good, I can’t get enough of it. ‘this is not a rental car’ is fucking crackerjack. Just what I needed after reviewing bland rock bands. Its cheered me right up.
