Subwaste sound a lot like a mixture of bands I used to go and see at The Junction in Bristol; they would have fitted right into that crowd: The Apers, Suzy and Los Quatro, Flatfoot 56, From Plan To Progress, amongst others. This isn’t meant to be a quest to namedrop; I’m just having trouble really pinning down their sound. The negative spin is that they are hardly unique, the positive is that they have merged a lot of sounds to make something that’s decent. Get A Move On is a highlight, with a couple of great riffs. Sadly, though, the music doesn’t hold my interest for the entire duration of the album.
