Cool little punk 7″. Side one is Canada’s Fist City who play some nice surf punk with female vocals. There is a cover of ‘Uncontrollable Urge’ by DEVO which was fun enough but you’re left wondering why if you have two songs on a 7″ why go with a cover. Flip the record over and you get the energetic Piss Test side. Piss Test play raucous and raw punk rock somewhere between the music of Angry Samoans and the lyrics of Lee Ving. Obnoxious and funny lyrics that’ll piss off the local D-beat Profane Existence punks. First song is a dig at what Piss Test no doubt perceive as the PC punk police. “Mindless self delusion ain’t cause for a revolution, you say you’re a communist, you say you’re an anarchist, you say you’re a libertarian, you’re nothing but a fascist!” Next song is ‘Necrophilia (It’s Halal)’ gives further evidence of Piss Tests inability to tread lightly through the egg shells: “Can’t fuck a girl unless you’re married or unless she’s dead.” They climax all too early with “I ain’t got no money, I ain’t got no money, because I make bad decisions.” Obnoxious and clearly suffering maturation issues, like all the best punk bands.
