The “We Tried” LP by Wolf Girl was one of my favourite indie pop records of 2016 so a couple of new songs here by the band is good news. They come across just as energetic as before but a little more spiky and punky this time around with a crunchier, buzzier guitar sound and a personal feel to the lyrics. “Get You” is probably my pick of the tracks but these are both good songs and it’s a timely reminder for me to go back and listen to “We Tried” again too.
